This portal allows eligible applicants to apply for a reduction and waiver of indexation on their Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) debt.


Your application will be assessed for both the HELP debt reduction and the indexation waiver. We recommend applying after you have completed the required service period, as this is when you become eligible for the HELP debt reduction. This way you will only need to apply once.


You may choose to apply for the indexation waiver earlier (for example, annually or if you leave the eligible location). However, you will receive the same benefit regardless of when you apply.
